Our program is a theme based program. Each Pre-School Teacher plans their own age-appropriate
curriculum. We offer active involvement with hands-on experiences, many opportunities
to make choices, and activities that build independence and confidence. Each class
session offers: art experiences, together times, snack time, and a large muscle time.
Both indoor and outdoor play areas include slides, climbers, bikes, and space for
activities and games. Each classroom is set up with separate play and work areas.
We offer small class sizes and low child to teacher ratios. Field trips are designed
to enhance learning.
Our Pre-School program is a Parent Participation Program. Parents are asked on a
rotating basis to come in and participate in the classroom with their child. Approximately
every 5-6 weeks a parent joins the class from 9:00-11:15 am. This gives parents
an opportunity to see, first-hand, just what happens during the class time. Parents
are able to observe the varied activities and the way teachers work with the youngsters,
as well as how the child interacts with other children. There is also an opportunity
to ask the teachers questions and for the teacher to get acquainted with the parents.
Most importantly, however, is that this is a very special day for the child. Having
the parent (or someone else important to them) in the classroom lets them know that
their school is a special part of their lives, and they also bask in the limelight
of getting to bring a snack, be the leader, set the table, etc.
Our developmentally appropriate program reflects the diversity in each child's growth
and development. This open-ended curriculum allows each child to achieve his/her
highest potential. We work together with families to provide a safe and friendly
place for children to develop learning and life readiness skills, preparing them
for the challenges ahead.
